SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

The Skills Development Act is intended to develop workforce skills and thereby improving their quality of life, productivity and employers’ market competitiveness. Should employers submit their Annual Workplace Skills Plans (WSP – declaration of training the employer intends to undertake in the coming year) and Annual Training Report (ATR – report on training the employer has undertaken in the current reporting period), they will be able to claim a portion of the Skills Levies back from their respective SETA (Sector Education Training Authority).
